This guide will walk you through creating your first product bundle step by step. By the end, you'll have a live bundle on your store ready to increase your average order value.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • V Bundles installed on your store
  • At least 2-3 products you want to bundle together
  • Basic understanding of your product catalog

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Access Bundle Builder

  1. Open V Bundles from your Shopify admin apps
  2. Click "Create Bundle" button
  3. Choose "Product Bundle" from the bundle types

Step 2: Select Bundle Type

Choose the type that fits your needs:

Fixed Bundle

  • Pre-selected products
  • Customer buys the whole set
  • Example: "Complete skincare routine"

Mix & Match

  • Customer chooses from options
  • Example: "Pick any 3 t-shirts"

Quantity Breaks

  • Volume discounts on single product
  • Example: "Buy 2, get 10% off each"

For your first bundle, we recommend starting with a Fixed Bundle.

Step 3: Add Products

  1. Click "Add Products"
  2. Search or browse your product catalog
  3. Select 2-5 products that complement each other
  4. Click "Add to Bundle"

Tips for choosing products:

  • Pick items frequently bought together
  • Mix high-margin with low-margin products
  • Consider different price points
  • Ensure products are in stock

Step 4: Set Bundle Pricing

Calculate your bundle price:

Individual Prices:
Product A: $30
Product B: $25
Product C: $20
Total: $75

Bundle Price: $64 (15% discount)
Customer Saves: $11

Pricing strategies:

  • 15-20% off: Standard discount that converts well
  • 10-12% off: Conservative for low-margin products
  • 25-30% off: Aggressive for inventory clearance

Enter your bundle price in the pricing field.

Step 5: Customize Bundle Details

Fill in the bundle information:

Bundle Title:
Good: "Complete Home Office Bundle"
Bad: "Bundle #1"

Description:

  • List what's included
  • Highlight the value
  • Mention the savings
  • Add use case or benefit

Example:

Get everything you need for your home office! This bundle includes:
- Ergonomic desk lamp
- Wireless keyboard
- Premium mouse pad

Save $15 when you buy the complete set.
Perfect for remote workers and students.

Step 6: Upload Bundle Image

Add an appealing image:

  • Show all products together
  • Use high-quality photography
  • Ensure good lighting
  • Keep it clean and professional

Image requirements:

  • Minimum: 1000x1000px
  • Format: JPG or PNG
  • File size: Under 5MB
  • Aspect ratio: Square (1:1) recommended

Step 7: Configure Display Options

Choose how customers see your bundle:

Display Location:

  • ☑ Product pages
  • ☑ Collection pages
  • ☑ Cart page
  • ☐ Checkout (if available)

Display Style:

  • Inline: Shows within product page
  • Popup: Opens in modal
  • Sidebar: Slides from side

We recommend Inline for best visibility.

Step 8: Set Inventory Management

Choose how to handle inventory:

Track Inventory:

  • ☑ Yes - Bundle reduces product inventory
  • ☐ No - Unlimited sales (careful with this)

Out of Stock Behavior:

  • Hide bundle when any product is out of stock
  • Show bundle but disable purchase
  • Allow substitutions (advanced)

Step 9: Preview Your Bundle

Before publishing:

  1. Click "Preview"
  2. See how it looks on desktop
  3. Check mobile view
  4. Test the add-to-cart functionality
  5. Verify pricing calculations

Make adjustments if needed.

Step 10: Publish Your Bundle

Ready to go live?

  1. Click "Publish Bundle"
  2. Choose launch date (now or schedule)
  3. Confirm publication
  4. Share with your team

Check your bundle analytics:

Yes. Use the "Pause" option to stop sales without deleting.
