Yes. The file uses Shopify’s exact import column order (Handle, Title, Body HTML, variant columns, image columns, and so on). Variants of one product share a Handle, and additional images get their own rows, which is what Shopify’s Products, Import expects.

Yes. The export is a standard .csv file, so it opens directly in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, or any spreadsheet app. You can review or edit the catalog in a spreadsheet and the same file still imports back into Shopify without reformatting.

In your Shopify admin, open Products, click Import, choose the downloaded .csv file, and click Upload and continue. Shopify shows a preview so you can confirm the columns line up, then click Import products. Because the file already uses Shopify’s exact column format, no manual column mapping is needed.

You get titles, descriptions, vendor, type, tags, options, variants, prices, compare-at prices, SKUs, weights, and all product images. Shopify’s public feed does not expose private fields, so inventory quantities, barcodes, and cost per item are left blank for you to fill in after import.

The tool only reads each store’s public products.json feed, the same data any visitor’s browser loads when they shop. It does not access private dashboards, orders, or customer data. Use the exported data responsibly and in line with the source store’s terms.

The store is likely password-protected, runs a headless storefront, or has its public products feed disabled. In those cases there is no public feed to read. Stores with a normally browsable catalog export without issue.

The tool exports up to roughly 5,000 products per run to keep things fast and reliable. If a catalog is larger than that, you will see a notice and the file will contain the first batch of products.
